The Río Piedras International Book Fair 2025

The University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras announced its inaugural International Book Fair (FIL RÍO 2025) taking place this week: November 3rd to 8th. 

The Río Piedras International Book Fair opens with a keynote event by Puerto Rican poet, novelist, and political philosopher Giannina Braschi who will read from her epic work Putinoika. 

Among the featured writers from Puerto Rico: Mayra Santos-Febres, Magali García Ramis, Giannina Braschi, Vanessa Droz, Elidio La Torre, Larry La Fontain, Cezanne Cardona, Glorimar Marrero, Hermes Ayala, Tina Casanova, and Georgina Lázaro. Writers from abroad include: Guadalupe Tzotzil, Julián Hebert, and Emiliano Becerril from Mexico, Irma Velazquez from Guatemala, Frank Báez from the Dominican Republic, Ana Garralón, Ignacio Peyró, and Clara Morales from Spain, Dani Zelk from Argentina, and Sébastien Onomo from France.

International Book Fair 2025

Through readings, workshops, and other cultural activities, the book fair seeks to create a meeting place for free expression, scholarship, literary creation, and community enrichment.
